Psyched out

Well, I survived my Psych AS resit. I can't remember the last time I was that nervous. I took this morning off for study leave, could barely sit still and nearly burst into tears a couple of times. Mainly because I thought I'd done enough notes and stuff, only to find out I'd missed a chunk of the syllabus and had to dash and find my notes from last year.

Bad times.

As it turned out, we got the ideal question. Yeah, my hand cramped up from gripping my pen too hard and yeah, my handwriting was atrocious towards the end, but... I'm almost positive that it's enough to bring my grade up to an A overall. I hope so.

So I've had three days back at school so far (today didn't really count since I went in at lunch) and this term is going to be much better than last term, I can tell. For starters, the bulk of my coursework(s) are out of the way. We've started Schizophrenia in Psych with one teacher, and Sleep and Dreams with the other. It's really interesting, and I think I now have an answer for why I get up in the middle of the night and think it's time to get up! We're finally moving onto new texts in Lit, and we've started children's reading and writing in Lang which is pretty cute actually.

So yeah, looking forward to it :)

Aside from school, I also have skiing to look forward to in February, and the real start of the 18th Birthday season! All of my group's birthdays are '91, so it's party tiiime *dances* We had S's birthday party last Friday, which was fun. Next up is KL's at the end of February. Woop! I might buy a new dress for it, since I've worn my two no-longer-new dresses a few times now.

Speaking of dresses.... I think I've found my Leaver's Ball Dress!!! Or prom dress, let's face it. Americanised but quicker to say.

My only worry is it's length, and the fact it's more of a party dress maybe. A says it's too party-dressy, but the rest of the group loved it. So I think I'll stick with it, considering A has a longer than floor-length dress more suitable for the Oscars. At least in this I'll be able to go to the after-party at Moko in town!

What else... Oh, I finished One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. The end is so sad! I'm now onto Jane Eyre, which I'm kinda pushing myself to read. I can't arrive at University to read English without having read Jane Eyre really, can I? It's like... the ultimate classic.

Bah, I hate Classics. I'd rather watch Gossip Girl. Speaking of which, the DVD box set is half price on Amazon. I'm incredibly tempted.
